You ask, I answer.

Can I add my golf cart to my homeowner’s policy?

The answer is: it depends.

Yes, if you use the golf cart to service your property, like bringing your garbage can up and down your driveway.  Some communities allow you to use a golf cart on their private roads, like golf courses that have their own community of homes within their grounds.  In these cases, your liability protection will extend to your golf cart.

No, if you plan to use this golf cart on NJ streets, like driving your cart to the beach and back or down the shore.  If you drive your golf cart on public roads in NJ, it will need to be registered and have its own insurance.

If you have any other insurance questions, don’t hesitate to drop me a line.
